Houses of cards – the series

The deck of 52 cards is a totality, a small enclosed world, rich in stories and of symbols. Divinatory for some, alchemical for others, “only” playful for still others, it contains a complete calendar and opens onto treasures of interpretation.
It presents multiple faces depending on the eras and the countries.

Connu and used by billions ofHmany, it only costs a few pennies, can be taken anywhere, can be used at kitchen tables or at prestigious game tables, can be played alone or with others. I chose it to represent Thee Monde and I play with onlylement two rules:

• Use all printed parts of a deck of 52 cards per tableau,

• Grape-size paper support.

“What to do with what we have? » and “How not to forget anyone? » are the two questions that underlie this work.
